Speed Stacking Festival

On Thursday, 20th of March, we took a team of excited Y3/4 pupils to a Speed Stacking festival at Melbourn Village College.
We are lucky enough to be part of the South Cambridgeshire School Sports Partnership, which organises a huge range of sports events across the school year. At the Speed Stacking festival, the children were able to take part in a range of different sport stacking activities, where they learnt basic stacks and got to challenge themselves, as well as score points for their team in fun relays and races. The children had a fantastic time, demonstrating incredible teamwork skills, self-belief and determination.
Here are some of the children's favourite things about the event: - I loved working as part of a team - The sports leaders were kind and helpful - The games were fun and competitive - There were lots of different types of games, which were all really fun! -
What is speed stacking?
Speed stacking, also known as sport stacking or cup stacking, is a sport where participants stack and unstack specially designed cups in sequences as quickly as possible, competing against the clock or other players.
